Years on the road in Berlin
ABC Ambulanz has been running patient and emergency transport in Berlin for over two decades. That practice stands behind every lesson.
We do not only teach. We drive: ABC Ambulanz has been running patient transport in Berlin for over 20 years. You train on real vehicles, with instructors who were on duty this week.
Most paramedic schools teach — and then your search begins: for a placement, for a station, for the first job. With us it is the same company.

You do your placement with us. Those who prove themselves get the chance of a position afterwards — without going through strangers.
You are taught by people who drive themselves. Not second-hand theory, but cases from last week.
The training follows the Berlin regulation for paramedic education and examination and is divided into four parts.
You do not need any background in emergency services. Most of our participants come from a completely different job.
Not sure whether it fits? Call us — we go through your documents together in ten minutes, before you apply for anything.
The Agentur für Arbeit or the Jobcenter can cover the cost if you meet the individual requirements and the funding is approved.
The academy belongs to ABC Ambulanz. Lessons take place in Berlin, the placement in our own fleet. Without the provider holding AZAV approval a Bildungsgutschein cannot be redeemed — that is why we state the measure number openly, so your case worker can check it straight away.
Funding through a Bildungsgutschein is possible if the measure is approved for you. We check together whether you qualify, and tell you honestly if it does not look likely.
For soldiers on fixed-term contracts the BFD regularly covers emergency-service training in full.
After illness or a work accident the retraining can be financed through vocational rehabilitation benefits.
Which route applies to you depends on your situation. We clarify that in the consultation — free of charge, and without committing you to anything.

Full-time 3 months. Alongside a job we spread the same scope over roughly 6 months so you can keep working.
Yes. The theory part can be done in blocks, and we arrange the placements around your shifts. Tell us in the consultation what your week looks like.
No, quite the opposite — a large share of our participants are career changers. No prior experience in emergency services is required.
That is decided by your case worker, not by us. Funding through a Bildungsgutschein is possible if the measure is approved. We tell you honestly in advance how your chances look, rather than promising you something.
You are a qualified Rettungssanitäter and can work in patient transport and emergency response. Those who do well in the placement can apply directly with us.
Class B is enough for vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes. Heavier ambulances require class C1 in addition — you can add that after the training.
Yes. Transportsanitäter is the shorter way into patient transport and can later be topped up to the full paramedic qualification. Ask us about it — we will tell you which route works out better in your case.
We run ambulances ourselves. Your placement takes place in our own company, you are taught by colleagues who are still on duty, and after passing the exam you can apply directly with us.
We call you back and clarify three things: whether you meet the requirements, which start date is realistic for you, and how funding could work in your case.
